The “Lethal Finishers - Phantom Venom” video was a special chance to tie a nostalgic thread from a classic soccer cleat to a brand new one, the Nike Phantom Venom. This video was part of a larger campaign for this boot launch, but this one was by far the most fun creatively. 

The Phantom Venom featured a unique blade-like strike strike zone, reminiscent of Nike’s Total 90 Laser series from nearly two decades ago. I knew I wanted this piece to link the past with the present in both copy and video direction. We achieved this by illustrating what strikers are looking for to enhance their game through product drawings and on field scenes.

The resulting video was stylistically one of my favorite videos I’ve been fortunate enough to help produce. Massive props go out to Sam Margetts for being on screen talent and co-producer as well as to Javier Loaiza for some gorgeous cinematography and fantastic editing.
